Texas Law
An owner of a domesticated animal, such as a dog, is responsible for injuries caused by the animal if the owner knows or has reason to know that the animal has dangerous or vicious propensities abnormal to that type of animal. A person is also liable for injury or death resulting from a bite or attack by a wild animal if the person assumed possession or control over the animal or, as a landowner, introduced a non-indigenous animal into the area.
